About Dutch Fiberista
How fun you’re visited my website, my little space on the world wide web. On Dutch Fiberista I share my passion for crochet, knitting, and sometimes embroidery.
For many years I have been a very creative person. Ever since I was a child, I’ve been making all kinds of things, and sometimes it’s hard to choose between all my hobbies.
When I was about five years old, I started making Barbie dresses on a child-friendly weaving loom. Around the age of ten, I began making beaded bracelets using beads I had inherited from my grandmother. When the well-known “Shoeby” cords were no longer available, I started knotting colorful bracelets using macramé techniques. Secretly, tucked between my school drawers, I would crochet entire bracelets under the table during class.
In 2017, I started crocheting more seriously. Since then, I’ve also built miniature dollhouses from kits, dyed wool and yarn, and even tried making handmade soap. I stopped the soap-making after about a year, and building dollhouses has also become difficult for me because I’m sensitive to the glue that is often used. The last two kits I still have will probably remain unfinished for quite some time.
Because I’m not able to keep or use all of my crocheted creations, you can find many of them on my website for a lovely price. Feel free to have a look around!
